Building beneficial AI futures from Lisbon.

The short version

I'm a solo developer working with AI agents to build tools I want to exist. Not a company pretending to be bigger than it is — just me and a fleet of Claude instances figuring things out together.

Right now I'm learning Mandarin Chinese while building an AI tutor to help me do it (Mingdao). I'm also building MACX, a personal exocortex — the system that coordinates my AI agents and extends my own cognition.

I think we're living through the most important transition in human history. I want to document it honestly and build tools that make AI benefit everyone, not just the people who own the datacenters.

What I believe

AI should be free. Not just free-as-in-beer, but free-as-in-freedom. Open weights, open research, no gatekeepers. The alternative is techno-feudalism — a few companies deciding who gets access to intelligence and at what price.

The transition matters more than the destination. AGI might be 2 years away or 20. Either way, the political and economic infrastructure we build now determines whether abundance is shared or hoarded.

Human-AI collaboration is the story. I'm not hiding that I work with AI. This site, my code, my writing — it's all built in partnership with Claude. That's not a confession, it's the point.
